Forest End Web Development
"Let us be your guide."
These sites were created for various customers over the years. My general process begins by sending the client a questionnaire to fill out in order to get an idea what they would like to see in their website and their preferences in the way their information is presented. I then code each website based on the text content provided by the customer, their preferences, and the most modern techniques related to the scale of the site. In between these lines there is a lot of room for interpretation and style, so I then send the customer a link to the first draft of the site and then incorporate whatever changes they request. The final files are then sent to them to host on their server or I help them obtain a url and host it on my server.
Open Mortgage LLC.
"Where Better is Possible."
For most of our websites at Open Mortgage, the design begins with our graphic designer, Zachary Rojas, who creates an Adobe Xd file which I turn into a functional website. This is especially the case with our ever-expanding, corporate website. But there are also quite a few opportunities for me to code and design some internal websites that do not need to follow our brand guidelines, and therefore allow for a little more freedom for creativity.
Network Solutions
"We believe that technology should help people live positive and productive lives."
At the time when the CEO of Network Services Group, Don Prior, clicked the link on twitter that promised a comprehsive website about the Mongolian Empire (see side projects) he had a backlog of web designs that he needed turned into working websites for his customers. Don, a fellow history buff, liked my website so much that he decided to call me and propose that I sign on as a contract developer to help him with his backlog. The designs were somewhat old fashioned and did not indicate responsive design, but I made sure the sites worked on mobile and desktop. After completing 4-5 of these sites for his company they were mostly caught up. He had one project left and this particular customer indicated that he wanted his website styled in a modern fashion so he also asked me to design the site as well as code it. This customer liked the design so much that he also asked me to design and code the website of their sister company (SEO Ann Arbor).
Side Projects
"Because web development is fun." - Ghengis Khan
While I have done many side projects in an effort to learn new skills and languages, I am not going to include those here. These are sites that I have created either for the fun of it. More will be added as time goes on. Coming Soon: Kings of the Norse - an elaborate site detailing the history of Vikings.
